Admission Assessments
Admission assessments are required for all new students, preschool through eighth grade as follows:
Students entering grades PS and PK: Meet and greet with classroom teacher and peers
Students entering Kindergarten through 8th grade: Shadow Day, including math and reading assessment and age-appropriate writing sample
The following documents are required (if applicable) prior to admission assessments can be performed:
Report Cards from previous schools (at least previous two years and current)
Evaluation (ER) or Reevaluation Reports (RR)
Individualized Education Plan (IEP)
504 plan
Disciplinary Records.
Immunizations Document
Assessment results will be evaluated by an Admissions team. An enrollment specialist will contact parents/guardians with the results. A student whose academic or social-emotional needs exceed a regular classroom may be denied admission. All admissions are offered on a probationary period to determine if the school is a fit for the family, and can meet the academic, social and emotional needs of the student.
Student Age Requirements
Preschool - Must be 3 years of age and fully potty trained by September 30th of the year enrolling.
PreKindergarten - Must be 4 years of age and fully potty trained by September 30th of the year enrolling.
Kindergarten - Must be 5 years of age by September 30th of the year enrolling.
This formula continues for the remaining grades.
